Privacy Policy

1. What we collect and why

The website has no sign-up, login or input forms, and does not use cookies or analytics tools. We collect personal information only when you email us.

• Purpose: to read and reply to your inquiry.
• Items: your email address, and any name, contact details or other information you include in the message.

2. Information stored in your browser

When you choose English or Korean, the choice is saved in your own browser (localStorage) so the site opens in that language next time. It is never sent to us, and you can remove it by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Services that store and send inquiry emails

Emails sent to egoist.kr addresses, including contact@egoist.kr, are stored on a mail server that we run ourselves (Stalwart) on Amazon Lightsail in the AWS Seoul Region, so they are stored in the Republic of Korea. Emails we send are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (Seoul Region).

Both services are provided by Amazon Web Services, Inc., a company based in the United States. We entrust it only with storing and sending these emails.

4. Transfer of personal information abroad

A copy of each email we receive is automatically forwarded to our CEO's Gmail account, as follows.

• Recipient: Google LLC (United States), Gmail
• Items transferred: the content of inquiry emails, including the sender's address, name and message
• When and how: over the network, as soon as the email is received
• Purpose: so the CEO can read and answer inquiries
• Retention: the same as for inquiry emails (one year after the inquiry is resolved)

5. Services that receive technical information

Like any website, your browser sends technical request information (such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request) to the services that deliver the page. We do not collect or analyse this information ourselves.

• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts and delivers the website.
• Google LLC (United States): delivers the fonts used on the website (Google Fonts).

6. How long we keep it and how we delete it

We keep inquiry emails, including the forwarded copies, until one year after the inquiry is resolved and then delete them, unless a law requires us to keep them longer. Electronic records are deleted in a way that cannot be restored.

7. Sharing

Apart from the services described above, we do not provide your personal information to third parties, except where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete or stop the processing of your personal information at any time by emailing contact@egoist.kr. We will act on your request without delay.

9. How we protect it

The website is served only over HTTPS, and access to inquiry emails is limited to the people who need to answer them.
